After the execution of the Iranian preacher the relationship between Saudi and Iran went from bad to worse.
As Saudi Emabassy got burned in Iran…the Iranian embassy in Yemen got damaged….casually.
This is not a direct war escalation.
.but can be an escalation in proxy wars..
something that Iran is very good at with over 20 years of experience.
Also, in the backchannel, the Saudi coalition partners will try to avoid bringing themselves to the attention of Iran and the USA will tell the Saudis that there is a limit to their support.
Hard year for the Saudi Kingdom ahead as Iran it is used to this situation and, with the multi decade embargo, is much better positioned.
