China is really taking the lead from the US in saving the world (and stock market).
President Xi speech was quite conciliatory. The salient points are
- It did not attack President Trump (saying that Cold War and zero-sum games mentality are our of place)
- Strengthen intellectual property laws
- Open economy, cut tariff (specially autos)
There are no details, this is not the end of the trade negotiation – but it is an olive branch.
