In the news we all been told what a brutal period this is and how mad President Trump is.
I am reading an historical book (Nemesis from M. Hastings about the last 2 years against Japan). General McArthur, after been kicked out of Philippines, was really upset and his pride wounded.
So in 1944, instead of isolating Philippines and target Japan…decided to attack Philippines landing in Leyte.
The victory costed (between Americans, Japanese and Filipino) 750,000 lives.
So this time is not so bad and hopefully even Trump knows better.
