Again funny things happen in our secret service world via Google.
The Yazidis are hiding on mount Sinjar (near TAL AFAR on the map) and the US strike are concentrated in Arbil (circa 200 km off to the east).
Arbil is the oil production centre of Kurdistan. It seems to me that the “humanitarian help” is more about keeping the oil price down (which is at the lowest since a while) and help the weakening European recovery than the humanitarian help.
Actually if you read this blog, probably you picked up two weeks ago (27 July) that I picked up an unusual concentration of US assets in the Gulf. The attack on Christians and Yazidis (which are Zoroastrian, if I got it right) started the 7 August. Anyone remembers Lybia?
